I originally intended buying the OPPO UDP-203 as it had extremely good reviews as well as being a robust, future-proof machine albeit very expensive. Unfortunately by the time I had enough money to buy one, it had ceased production so I had to begin my research again.
It didn't take too long to find a worthy alternative 4K Blu-ray machine - the Sony UBP-X700. While it is not as robust, its' performance is excellent. As this is my first Blu-ray machine, I cannot make a comparison with other makes or models but what I can say is that discs are fast to load and play. I don't yet possess any 4k discs but the blu-rays and DVDs I tried all looked great. This has been modified to a multi-region / multi zone version so will play everything I own.
Now on to the service itself. I thought I had been dealing with someone called Andrew but I'm not so sure now as my last email from you was from Graham. Anyway Andrew / Graham, regardless. Although there was a mistake made with the player almost being delivered to my home address even though I asked for it to go to my works address, a quick phone call from me and it was sorted. The player would be delivered the next day (Saturday) to my home (as I would be in then). Sure enough as promised, the player arrived Saturday morning. I spent an hour or so setting it up (admittedly most of the time was taken up trying to get the cables behind the unit it is on).
To summarise, I love my new 'toy'. I would not hesitate to purchase from Multiregionmagic again. To give you an idea of the customer service, I received a call shortly after I took delivery to make sure it had actually arrived at the correct address. Not many businesses would do that.
